How to pay with crypto, step by step

How it works

1. 1Install a walletA free app or browser extension that holds your crypto. MetaMask is the most common one.
2. 2Add USDC on BaseUSDC is a dollar-backed coin: 1 USDC is about 1 US dollar. Keep a little ETH on Base too, for the network fee of a few cents.
3. 3Choose a period and connectPick how many months of Pro you want on the pricing page, then connect your wallet.
4. 4Pay and wait a momentApprove the payment in your wallet. Pro turns on by itself once the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute.

Which wallets can I use?

Any wallet that supports the Base network works. These are the most common ones, and all of them are free:

• Trust Wallet

• Rabby

On a phone, install the wallet app and open this site in the browser inside the app.

Example: paying with MetaMask

   Install MetaMask from its official site, metamask.io — as a browser extension on a computer or as an app on your phone.

   Create a new wallet and write the secret recovery phrase down on paper. Whoever has these words has your money; nobody, including us, will ever ask for them.

   Add USDC on the Base network. You can buy it inside MetaMask, or withdraw it from an exchange such as Coinbase, Binance or Kraken — choose Base as the network when you withdraw.

   Keep a little ETH on Base for the network fee. One dollar’s worth covers many payments.

   On the pricing page, choose Pro and a period, tick the confirmation box and continue to payment.

   Press the MetaMask connect button. MetaMask asks to connect and to switch to the Base network — approve both.

   Check your USDC balance on the page, press the pay button and confirm the payment in MetaMask.

   Stay on the page. It updates by itself when the payment is confirmed and takes you to your dashboard.

Paying from an exchange or another wallet

You can also send the payment yourself. Copy the address and the exact amount from the payment step and send USDC on the Base network. Send exactly that amount — its last digits identify your order — and make sure an exchange fee does not reduce what arrives.
