This page says what SamCryptoPrices collects and what happens to it. We collect as little as the service needs.
What we collect
If you create an account: your email address, the name and profile handle you choose, an optional short bio, your chosen language, your password (stored only as a one-way hash — we cannot read it), and the date you joined.
What you do on the site with an account: the coins on your watchlist, the price alerts you set, the signals you save, the comments and replies you post, the chat messages you send, the comments you upvote or report, and the people you block.
If you pay: the order, the amount, the sending wallet address and the transaction hash — these are public on the Base blockchain anyway. **We never hold your wallet keys** and never ask for a seed phrase.
Technical records kept briefly for security and diagnosis: rate-limiting counters keyed by account or IP, and server logs.
What we do not collect
No exchange API keys, no wallet addresses other than the sending address of a payment you make, no portfolio holdings, no bank details and no card numbers. The service reads only public market data and never connects to an account you hold anywhere else.
Why we collect it
To run the service you asked for: keeping you signed in, remembering your watchlist and alerts, sending the alerts you set, showing your comments with your name on them, and taking payment for a plan you bought.
To keep the service working and safe: rate limits, abuse detection and moderation.
What is public
Your comments, the coin they are on, the sentiment tag you attach, your handle, your display name and your reputation are public — so are your chat messages: they appear on the coin page, in the chat and on your profile page, and search engines can index them.
You can turn your profile page off in your account settings. Comments you have already posted stay on the coin pages — they are part of a conversation other people replied to.
Your watchlist, your alerts and your saved signals are private and are never shown to anyone else.
Who else sees it
The Base blockchain (payments are public on-chain), our blockchain data provider, our email provider (account and alert emails), our hosting and database provider, and Microsoft Clarity (usage analytics: clicks, scrolling and session replay, with text you type into fields masked).
Google joins that list only while we are running ads, and only if you allowed measurement (advertising tag). It is not loaded otherwise.
We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not build cross-site profiles.
How long we keep it
Your account data stays until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your account, your watchlist, your alerts, your saved signals, your comments and your chat messages.
Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Server-side event records are deleted after 180 days and triggered price alerts after 30 days. Chat messages roll over: the newest 1000 per language are kept and older ones are deleted.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your data from your account page — “Download my data” gives you a single file with everything we hold about you.
If you are in the EEA or the UK you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to contactmail.bsam@gmail.com.
