Shiba Inu Coin Price: Why SHIB Trades With So Many Zeros
How the Shiba Inu price works: an enormous token supply, a tiny unit price, burns, and why percentage moves matter more than the decimals.

The Shiba Inu price is quoted with a long run of zeros for one reason: supply. SHIB launched with a quadrillion tokens, so each individual unit is worth a very small fraction of a cent. That is arithmetic, not a verdict. A coin's unit price says nothing about whether it is cheap; only supply multiplied by price is comparable between coins.
Because the unit is so small, the last digits move constantly and percentage change is the only honest way to read the chart. A move from 0.0000090 to 0.0000099 looks like noise and is a ten percent move. The habit worth building is to think in percentages and in position size, never in units: owning a million tokens sounds like a lot and describes nothing at all.
Burns are read the same way. Sending tokens to an address nobody controls removes them from supply permanently, and that is real, but the scale matters more than the gesture. Removing a few hundred billion units from a quadrillion is a fraction of a percent, and a fraction of a percent of supply rarely outweighs a day of ordinary trading. The honest question is always what share of total supply was removed.
SHIB also trades with high volatility and heavy retail participation, so its chart reacts sharply to sentiment and to moves in the wider market. It tends to amplify what the majors do rather than lead them, and it does so on thinner books, which is why the same size order moves it further than it would move Bitcoin.
Read it with the context next to it. Volume tells you whether a move had participation. Breadth tells you whether the whole board is moving or just this one name. And for a coin this widely traded on perpetual venues, funding tells you which side is crowded — a crowded side is the first to be liquidated when price turns.
None of that predicts the next candle. It describes the conditions the next candle will form in, which is a smaller claim and a more useful one. Nothing on this page is investment advice and no outcome is promised.
