Pi Coin Price: How PI Is Priced and Where the Number Comes From

Pi Network spent years in a closed phase where the coin could not be moved off the app, so any price quoted in that period was an informal promise rather than a trade. A real Pi coin price only exists where PI changes hands on an exchange that lists it, and that is the number worth reading: the last price at which a buyer and a seller actually agreed.

Because PI is listed on a smaller set of venues than Bitcoin or Ethereum, quotes drift apart more than usual. One exchange may show a price several percent away from another simply because its order book is thinner and a single large order moves it. Comparing a couple of venues before acting is not caution, it is basic hygiene for any thinly traded asset.

Four checks separate a quote you can use from a number on a screen. Volume over the last 24 hours tells you whether the price survived real trading. The spread between the best bid and the best ask tells you what a round trip costs before fees. Depth tells you how large an order the book absorbs before the price moves. And the timestamp tells you whether you are reading the market or a cached snapshot.

Supply events matter more for PI than for most assets. Migration batches, unlocks and new listings all release coins or access at once, and a thin book turns that into sharp candles in both directions. A calendar of those events explains far more of the chart than any single indicator, because they change how many coins can be sold, not how people feel about them.

On this site the PI quote is pulled straight from exchange feeds, with the venue named next to the number and volume beside it. The comparison table shows every exchange that lists the pair, so the spread between venues is visible rather than assumed. The signal score and risk reasons are computed from those same candles, which keeps the chart, the table and the setup in agreement.

Read PI as a young market rather than a broken one: fewer venues, thinner books and faster moves are the normal state of an asset at this stage. Nothing on this page is investment advice and no outcome is promised; it is a description of where the number comes from and what it can and cannot tell you.
