Live Coin Watch: What a Real-Time Price Tracker Should Show
What to expect from a live crypto price tracker — update latency, source exchanges, volume, and how to tell a live number from a cached one.

A live price tracker has one job: to tell you what the market is doing right now, and to be honest about where that number came from. The difference between a good tracker and a bad one is rarely the design. It is latency, sourcing and disclosure.
Latency is the gap between a trade printing on an exchange and the number changing on your screen. Some sites poll every few minutes and still label the result live. Sourcing decides whose order book you are reading: an average across venues smooths out anomalies but hides the one exchange you would actually trade on. Disclosure is simply naming the source next to the number, which surprisingly few trackers do.
You can test any tracker in a minute. Open the same pair on an exchange and on the tracker, and watch a volatile moment: if one moves seconds after the other, you are reading a live feed; if it updates in steps, you are reading a poll. Then check whether the page tells you which venue the price came from, and whether volume is shown next to it. A price with no volume beside it is a number without evidence.
Coverage is the quieter problem. Small coins often trade on one or two venues, and a tracker that lists them without saying where the price came from is passing along a thin book as if it were a market. The same applies to pairs quoted in different stablecoins; blending them hides a peg that has drifted.
This site streams quotes continuously from exchange feeds, names the venue behind each price, and shows volume next to it so you can judge whether the number survived real trading. Charts and signals follow the same feed, so the figure in the table and the last candle never disagree, and every coin page lists the other venues with the spread between them.
Treat a tracker as an instrument, not an oracle. It tells you what happened and where, at a resolution you can verify; it does not tell you what happens next. Nothing on this page is investment advice and no outcome is promised.
Nothing on this site is investment advice. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose money. Do your own research.
